Modern society faces a serious problem with pollution, and in the industrialized world, people have been looking for answers for many years. One of the most heated arguments right now is on who should be primarily responsible for this improvement: businesses or individuals. This essay will examine both claims and come to the conclusion that the blame should be shared.
First off, some claim that because large businesses have benefitted for years from heinous crimes against the environment, they are to blame for resolving our environmental issues. Consumers might carry on with their regular shopping without having such a significant negative impact on the environment if these businesses abruptly switched to sustainable, eco-friendly goods and packaging. By eliminating the individual's freedom of choice, this would guarantee that everyone makes a contribution to restoring our world. However, since businesses rely on revenues and single-use plastics are typically inexpensive, many of them are hesitant to adapt.
On the other side, individuals may also influence events. Businesses only sell what there is a demand for, therefore if consumers start demanding greener products and more ethical business practises, businesses will be forced to comply. If consumers began to criticise or reject excessively packaged items, businesses would act swiftly to appease the consumer. Unfortunately, not everyone is concerned about the environment, and in many places of the world, cost takes first. We won't advance if we only rely on people to make this decision. People should not be relied upon to make sensible decisions because in many areas of the world, people still believe that it is OK to toss plastic into rivers.
To sum up, both businesses and people should play a part in repairing the harm they have caused to the planet, but neither can be fully trusted. Governments should enact legislation with harsh penalties for offenders who breach environmental standards in addition to everyone making some kind of good effort.

Global plastic trash has significantly increased during the past ten years. But poor waste management is really the major problem. Many individuals think that in order to fix this issue, producers should use less packing for each product, while others think that consumers must stop favouring products with bulky packaging. This article will address both perspectives.
The usage of plastics has increased over time, and due to their affordability, nearly every factory today employs one or more forms of plastic for packaging. As a result, millions of plastic covers are discarded in our oceans and on our land, endangering the lives of numerous animals, birds, and marine life. On the other side, a large number of non-governmental organisations and human rights advocates are pushing for strict rules that would make it illegal to consume polythenes in workplaces and grocery stores. For instance, the Tamilnadu government has banned the sale of plastic covers at all retail establishments as part of an environmental effort.
On the other hand, some contend that customers' opposition to multi-packaged items is the only way to completely remove the usage of plastic. For instance, many influencers and YouTubers promote using cloth bags when shopping, and this small gesture has assisted several people in changing their routines of purposefully avoiding polythene bags. Additionally, these people forecast that manufacturers would stop using plastics in favour of substitutes that will please all customers.
There is no denying that the development of this lightweight packaging has had a negative rather than positive influence on many lives. Therefore, the government needs to pass stringent regulations outlawing their usage in warehouses and retail establishments. At the same time, customers should use environmentally friendly natural packaging after doing their research.
